EuroMillions Provides More Chances to Win from Tonight

Irish EuroMillions players have the chance to win one of ten Ireland Only Raffle prizes of €5,000 in every draw from tonight onward thanks to a number of changes made to the pan-European lottery. Friday 23rd September’s draw, in which a French ticket holder won €23.8 million, was the last under the old rules, with an extra Lucky Star added to the game and a larger percentage of the prize fund now designated to the jackpot.
The starting EuroMillions jackpot has risen from the previous €15 million to €17 million and Superdraws will guarantee a jackpot of at least €130 million from now on, the first of which is planned for this Friday 30th September.
Players in most of the participating countries are now automatically entered into additional or enhanced games every time they play EuroMillions, with Irish participants receiving a unique code on their ticket for each line they play. This acts as their entry into the Ireland Only Raffle, netting them €5,000 if they match it with one of the ten codes drawn on the night.
Starting on Friday 28th October, the EuroMillionaires Raffle Draw will provide multiple €1 million prizes to players across the continent on occasions throughout the year. On nights when that game is played, your Ireland Only Raffle code will also act as your entry into the Europe-wide raffle.
EuroMillions Plus remains in its current form, with players paying an additional €1 per line to give their five main EuroMillions numbers another chance to win them up to €500,000 in a separate draw. A family from Co Louth picked up their own €500,000 cheque from lottery headquarters this week, having hit the EuroMillions Plus jackpot on Friday 9th September. The couple, who bought their Quick Pick ticket at a Tesco in Dundalk, will help their children onto the property ladder with their windfall.
