Get Set for the ‘12 Draws of Christmas’

Last Updated: Monday 14th November 2022, 10:06 am

EuroMillions players in Ireland are set to enjoy a bumper run up to Christmas, with a series of special draws taking place that will see a guaranteed prize fund of €6 million paid out over the next six weeks.

€50,000 Raffle Prizes

The prizes will be awarded in the Ireland Only Raffle, with 10 winners of €50,000 in 12 consecutive draws. The promotion starts on Tuesday 15th November and finishes on Friday 23rd December.

The Ireland Only Raffle is played alongside every EuroMillions draw, and is exclusive to Irish ticket holders. You receive a nine-digit code - four letters and five numbers, and always starting with an ‘I’ - for every line of numbers you play on EuroMillions. There’s no extra cost to add the raffle - it is included in the cost of taking part in the main draw.

Ten winning codes are selected at random in every draw. You need to match every letter and number - in exactly the same position - to win. The prize in a standard draw is €5,000 per winner, but over the ‘12 draws of Christmas’ everyone who matches a winning code will receive €45,000 more than normal.

Special draws in the Ireland Only Raffle are not new, but the format of this event is unique. Previously, one of the 10 winning codes has been selected to receive an extra €1 million, but this time all 10 winners will see their prize increased.

It will create 120 big winners in total, while there are sure to be other great prizes paid out in the main EuroMillions draw.

Superdraw on 2nd December

Ireland has already had one jackpot win in 2022 - a family from Co Clare who pocketed €30 million in February with a ticket bought at Larkin’s Gala in Killaloe.

The jackpot will soon be boosted to €130 million for a Superdraw on Friday 2nd December. If there’s no winner on the night, it could potentially rise up to its new limit of €240 million.

You can use the EuroMillions Checker to check your numbers and raffle code after every draw and find out if you are a winner.
