EuroMillions Rolls to €129 Million for Friday Night

EuroMillions fans have a €129 million jackpot to look forward to on Friday night, after no one matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars on Tuesday 23rd May. There have now been 12 rollovers since the last time the top prize was won and it has leapt past the €115.4 million won by Dolores McNamara of Limerick in 2005, which currently stands as the biggest ever Irish lottery win.
Tuesday’s winning EuroMillions numbers were 8, 15, 25, 27 and 42 with Lucky Stars 1 and 4. Four players across the continent matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to bank €334,479, with the biggest Irish winner coming in the Match 5 tier, where they and seven others scooped €38,952. The full prize breakdown for the draw, with the EuroMillions Plus and Ireland Only Raffle details, can be found on the EuroMillions Results page.
Any Irish player picking up Friday’s €129 million bounty would become the first from the country to bag the big one since a Dublin syndicate claimed €88.5 million on 24th January this year. The colleagues said they would celebrate with a quiet party and looked forward to enjoying financial freedom in the future.
This Friday could see the 11th Irish EuroMillions winner of all time crowned, following in the footsteps of McNamara, a player who accidentally wrote his regular numbers down incorrectly and scooped €12.8 million in 2013 and a Dublin Bus worker syndicate, who shared €23.8 million in 2016.
To add your name to the list, choose your EuroMillions numbers online or pop in to an authorised retailer to get hold of a physical ticket. Good luck.
