Belgian Player Lands €153.8 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

One lucky EuroMillions fan from Belgium won Friday night’s jackpot to end a run of 14 consecutive rollovers. The ticket holder correctly predicted the seven numbers required to land the pan-European game’s top prize which had risen to €153.8 million. They have yet to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning EuroMillions numbers were 8, 10, 24, 33 and 42, while 3 and 9 were randomly selected as the Lucky Stars. In addition to the jackpot winner, who stands to walk away with the biggest European lottery prize of 2017, seven players each collected €290,732 after matching five main numbers and one of the two Lucky Stars.
The biggest Irish winner on the night came in the Match 5 prize tier, as one lucky entrant was one of 23 players to scoop €20,609. There was further joy in the Match 4+2 tier as 111 ticket holders prospered to the tune of €2,089, six of whom hailed from the Emerald Isle, while the Irish Only Raffle also saw plenty of players profit, with ten participants matching one of the ten codes drawn to win €5,000 apiece.

This latest jackpot win saw Belgium claim its 29th win since EuroMillions first hit the lottery stage in February 2004. It also extended the country’s run of good form, with this victory being the second nine-figure win since a player from Brussels pocked €168 million jackpot on Tuesday 11th October.
