€2 EuroMillions Bet Lands Dublin Punter €18,802

The luck of the Irish was certainly with one Dubliner who successfully turned a €2 bet into an €18,802 windfall. The prosperous punter won the five-figure sum after placing a bet with BoyleSports on the outcome of the EuroMillions draw on Friday 3rd March.
The winning bet was made up of a trio of €0.50 trebles and a €0.50 accumulator. The draw saw the lucky Lotto bettor land all three trebles, each racking up €750, resulting in an initial win of over €2,250. Not a bad return for a relatively small bet.
However, the good news didn’t end there. Having placed the accumulator on the numbers 1, 5, 15 and 26, the punter scooped a further €16,500, resulting in an unbelievable win of over €18,800.
News of the player’s good fortune soon reached BoyleSports, who were quick to point out that gamblers in the nation’s capital are currently enjoying an extraordinary amount of luck when it comes to betting on various lottery games: “There must be something in the water in Dublin because we have had yet another Dub win big with their lotto bet,” BoyleSports spokeswoman Aoife Heffron told reporters.
Bettors in the city have certainly been experiencing a purple patch, with this latest win completing a recent treble of big money victories. “Someone has a crystal ball they aren’t telling us about,” joked Aoife. “The total Lotto winnings paid out in Dublin in the last week now reaches €47,355.50 after the latest punter bagged €18,802.50 for their €2 bet on their lucky numbers.”
