Irish EuroMillions players have the chance to win two guaranteed €1 million prizes during a special week of draws. The Ireland Only Raffle on 3rd December will give away the first million and that will be followed by another on 6th December.
With Christmas around the corner, the opportunity to add six zeroes to your bank balance is extremely welcome and that is exactly what will happen for two lucky ticket holders thanks to these special editions of the Ireland Only Raffle.
The additional draw is only available to Irish EuroMillions players, meaning that the prizes being given away on Tuesday 3rd and Friday 6th December are guaranteed to go to players who purchase their tickets within the Emerald Isle.
How to Enter the €1 Million Ireland Only Raffle
In order to enter the special €1 Million Ireland Only Raffle draws, all you need to do is purchase a EuroMillions entry for the draws on 3rd and 6th December. You can enter either one of the draws or both of them.
For each EuroMillions line you play, you receive a unique Ireland Only Raffle code. All of the codes generated for the individual draws go into a raffle, where ten are picked at random to win €5,000 each. In the draws on the 3rd and 6th December, the ten winners will then be entered into an additional draw in which one code is pulled out to win that night’s €1 million award.
You do not have to pay an additional fee or do anything else to opt in, as you are automatically entered when you play EuroMillions in Ireland. Make sure you check your Ireland Only Raffle code as well as your main EuroMillions numbers after the draw.
Previous €1 Million Ireland Only Raffle Draws
These boosted Ireland Only Raffle draws happen occasionally throughout the year, providing even more excitement for Irish EuroMillions players. Here’s a rundown of some of the most notable draws to have occurred so far:
- The first special Ireland Only raffle draw was held on Friday 17th February 2017 and a County Leitrim ticket holder scooped the additional €1 million prize.
- On Friday 26th October 2018, €1 million was added to the Ireland Only Raffle fund, which was shared between all ten winners, each of whom banked €105,000 rather than the usual €5,000. Two of the winning entries were bought online and the rest were spread across Ireland, including two from Co Galway and two from Co Louth.
- The most recent €1 million Ireland Only Raffle draw took place on Friday 5th July this year. The winner on that occasion bought their entry at a Gala store in Portlaoise in Co Laois.
Even if you are not one of the lucky €1 million winners in either of the special draws on Tuesday 3rd and Friday 6th December, you could still bag the EuroMillions jackpot. There is a minimum guaranteed jackpot of €17 million, but that could be much higher if no one wins the €40 million on offer on Friday 29th November.
