Single €500,000 Winner In EuroMillions Plus

Last Updated: Wednesday 20th June 2018, 12:25 pm

Although there was general disappointment for Irish players in the main EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 19th June, it was a night to remember for a EuroMillions Plus ticket holder who won €500,000 in the supplementary game.

Thousands of Winners In The Plus Draw

The EuroMillions Plus winner matched all five numbers – 15, 17, 19, 28 and 39 – to become the single recipient of the six-figure windfall. There were also 50 ticket holders who received €2,000 each after matching four numbers, whilst 1,991 players took home €20 for hitting three numbers. All the latest winners now have 90 days from the date of the draw to come forward and claim their prize.

It’s the first time the EuroMillions Plus jackpot has been won this month, following the previous winner on Friday 25th May, a man who bought his winning ticket from Carroll’s Centra in Knocktopher. The lucky player said he planned to use his winnings to buy a house with his wife, as well as provide some financial security to their teenage children.

EuroMillions Plus gives you the chance to win an additional €500,000 after every EuroMillions draw, using the same numbers you picked for the main game. Draws are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, shortly after the winning EuroMillions numbers have been revealed. The draw is exclusive to ticket holders from Ireland, and it costs just an extra €1 to enter.

EuroMillions Jackpot Won in France

The €36 million jackpot in the main EuroMillions draw was won in France, with the winning numbers 7, 19, 26, 42 and 50, and Lucky Stars 4 and 9, drawn. Ireland didn’t have winners in any of the top three prize tiers, although there was a sole winner of €2,277 who matched four main numbers as well as both Lucky Stars.

However, there has been good news recently for EuroMillions players from the Emerald Isle. Most recently, 32 colleagues from Stakelum’s Hardware Store in Co. Tipperary were celebrating after their syndicate hit the €17 million jackpot on Tuesday 5th June.
