Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 09:48 am
A single ticket landed the €2.9 million jackpot in the Irish Lotto draw on Wednesday 13th June. The ticket was bought from Co Cavan and was the only one to match all six numbers. There were over 25,000 other winners, including nine ticket holders who matched five numbers to win just under €3,000 each.

The winning numbers from Wednesday’s draw were 5, 21, 25, 29, 41, and 43, with Bonus Ball 31. The jackpot-winning ticket matched all of the main numbers to land the multi-million euro prize, and although there were no winners in the 5+1 tier, other wins took the total prize fund to over €3.1 million. The jackpot will reset to €2 million for the next draw on Saturday as we wait for this latest winner to come forward and claim their prize.
It was a quiet night in the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws, as no one managed to win the jackpot in either game. In the Lotto Plus Raffle, 76 players matched the winning number 9441 to win €300 each. See the Results page for a full prize breakdown from all of Wednesday’s draws.
Winning Run Continues
The latest jackpot win continues a lucky streak for Irish players, following a €17 million win by a syndicate from Co Tipperary. The 32-strong group of colleagues from Stakelums Home and Hardware each took home over €500,000 after the incredible win, taking the total number of EuroMillions jackpots won in Ireland to 13. A single ticket holder from the Mid-West of Ireland won a €4.5 million jackpot on 2nd June, after another player won €1 million in the EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle on 1st June.
The EuroMillions jackpot was won in three consecutive draws recently, the first time this had happened in 2015. It finally went unwon in the draw on Tuesday 12th June, so it has rolled over to €28 million for the next draw on Friday 15th June.
Eurojackpot Offers the Biggest Prize in Europe
EuroMillions is not the only lottery that has been rolling over recently. The top prize in the Eurojackpot lottery stands at €90 million after rolling over for more than two months. The jackpot is capped at this amount, so any further revenue from ticket sales that would have normally been added to the top prize is instead added to the tier below. This means that you can become a millionaire without even winning the jackpot. In the last draw on Friday 8th June, five players matched five main numbers plus the Euro number to win over €4.6 million each. Players who achieved the same result in the draw three weeks ago, just before the jackpot cap was reached, only won €600,000.
No other lottery in Europe offers the same kind of return at the moment. You don’t even need to live in one of the participating countries to play.
