Ireland Celebrates Another EuroMillions Jackpot Win
Last Updated: Monday 15th December 2025, 09:17 am
EuroMillions players in County Cavan have been urged to check their tickets after another Irish jackpot win in the latest draw on Friday night. The top prize this time was worth €17 million.
It is the second jackpot win of the year for Ireland, after the record-breaking €250 million payout that went to a family syndicate from County Cork on 17th June.
Friday’s success also came hot on the heels of the colossal €142 million win for someone from Belgium in the previous draw on Tuesday 9th December, making it a wonderful week for EuroMillions players.
The winning numbers for Friday 12th December were 7, 25, 30, 37 and 41, with Lucky Stars 5 and 11. There were more than 42,000 winning tickets in Ireland alone, including the jackpot. Ten players also picked up €5,000 as part of the Ireland Only Raffle.
It was initially revealed that the jackpot-winning ticket had been sold in the Ulster region, and it was then narrowed down to Co Cavan. The exact location of the winning store will also be announced in due course.
“We’re delighted to confirm that the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot-winning ticket was sold in County Cavan,” said Darragh O’Dwyer, spokesperson for the Irish Lottery. “This incredible win comes at a special time of year and is sure to be a huge Christmas surprise for the winner.
“We’re asking all Cavan players to check their tickets very carefully and, if you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it safe. Our Claims team is ready to guide you through the claiming process, and we’ll announce the store location on Tuesday.”
There is a 90-day deadline for claiming prizes in Ireland, so the big winner has until 12th March 2026 to come forward. You can use our online Results Checker to find out if you’ve won a prize in any recent draw.
Ireland has now had 21 jackpot winners since EuroMillions started in 2004. There had not been one for more than three and a half years until the €250 million win in June, and now the country has done it again.
Friday also turned out to be a magical night for an online player from Co Limerick, who scooped the top prize of €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw after matching the numbers 11, 16, 31, 35 and 38.
EuroMillions (and EuroMillions Plus) draws will continue to take place every Tuesday and Friday night over the Christmas period. Keep getting involved and view the results as soon as they are available.
