EuroMillions Plus Jackpot Won for Third Draw in a Row
Last Updated: Monday 19th October 2026, 11:50 am
A remarkable winning run for EuroMillions Plus players continued on Friday night, as the jackpot was snapped up for a third consecutive draw.
The lucky streak started a week earlier on Friday 9th October, when someone from Tipperary matched all the numbers to win €500,000. They have already come forward to claim their prize, setting their sights on a trip to New York in the near future.
The jackpot was won again on Tuesday (13th October), with a player from Co. Wexford becoming half a million euros richer thanks to a ticket they purchased at Lawless’s Shop, Boolavogue, Ferns, Enniscorthy.
It became three draws in a row on Friday when a participant from Co Meath matched the numbers 6, 8, 24, 35 and 40. The ticket was bought at Gillen’s Londis on Dublin Road, Trim, and lottery officials have urged everyone to check the results.
Irish Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said: “What an incredible run for EuroMillions Plus players, with three €500,000 top prize winners in three consecutive draws. First it was Tipperary, then Wexford, and now Meath has joined the celebrations after one player scooped the €500,000 top prize on Friday night.”
O’Dwyer added: “We are encouraging anyone who purchased a ticket for Friday night’s draw from Gillen’s Londis on the Dublin Road in Trim, Co. Meath, to check their ticket very carefully. More than 50,000 players in Ireland won prizes across the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws on Friday night, with the Meath player taking the title of biggest winner of the night!”
EuroMillions Plus offers far better odds of winning the jackpot than the main EuroMillions game, as there are no Lucky Stars. The five main numbers from your EuroMillions ticket are placed into a separate draw for a second chance to win. Match at least three numbers out of five and you’ll win a prize; get all five to win the €500,000 jackpot. It costs an extra €1 to add EuroMillions Plus to EuroMillions.
Special EuroDreams Jackpot Still on Offer
It is a perfect time to play EuroDreams as well as EuroMillions, as the multi-national annuity lottery currently boasts a jackpot of €50,000 a month for 30 years (up from the usual €20,000).
The jackpot was boosted for Thursday night’s draw but nobody was able to land it, so the top prize will remain at the same level until there is a winner.
The enhanced prize did attract a lot of extra interest and ticket sales, though, with more than 4 million entries submitted across Europe. In Ireland, more than 28,000 players picked up prizes, up from 16,000 in the previous draw.
Whether you like to play EuroDreams, EuroMillions or something else, you can choose from a range of exciting lotteries in Ireland. Play at an authorised retailer or bet online, then check the latest results as soon as draws have taken place.
