Nobody from Ireland was able to match the full winning line in the EuroMillions draw on Friday 6th October, but one lucky player did scoop a record-equalling €190 million. The winning ticket was bought in Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria, giving Spain its largest ever EuroMillions payout.
Winning EuroMillions Numbers
Friday’s winning numbers were 1, 9, 15, 19 and 25, with Lucky Stars 1 and 7. Spurred on by the huge jackpot, 138,888 Irish players picked up prizes, including one participant who matched five main numbers to pocket €27,911. Check out the EuroMillions Results page for a full prize breakdown.
EuroMillions Plus Winner
Someone also landed the top EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 on Friday with a ticket bought at Barry’s Mace in Blackwater, Ardnacrusha, Co Clare. Lance O’Neill, the owner of the store, had just started a family holiday near Barcelona in Spain when he learned of his shop’s success. He said: “How ironic is that. I can confirm that I did not buy a EuroMillions ticket here so I am not the Spanish jackpot winner!”
O’Neill might not be the Spanish jackpot winner, but speculation has quickly surfaced that the player who did buy the lucky ticket in Gran Canaria might indeed by a holidaymaker, as it is such a popular destination for tourists. The ticket was validated at the El Mirador shopping mall in Las Palmas.
The big winner can now look forward to a lifetime of financial freedom and fantastic opportunities, setting their sights on new houses, cars and luxury holidays. For everyone else, there will be another chance to win a life-changing sum of money tomorrow night.
