EuroMillions' Next Mega-Draw Date Confirmed: 26th September

The date of the next EuroMillions Mega Draw has been confirmed by European lottery officials: On Friday the 26th of September, the jackpot will be boosted to a tremendous €130,000,000 irrespective of the previous draw's jackpot value.
How do Mega Draws Work?
EuroMillions Mega Draws are very simple, and don't affect the way you play. All that's going to happen is, for Friday 26th's draw, the jackpot will be automatically set to €130 million. If, by that date, it turns out that the jackpot is already at or above the €130 million-mark, then the Mega Draw will be cancelled and the game is played as usual.
If nobody wins the Mega Draw, then the jackpot will continue to increase like normal from €130 million - it doesn't get reset if nobody wins, or anything like that.
There are no other features or rules of a Mega Draw: no roll-downs, and it's not a must-be-won draw either. So, players, all you need to do is treat it like any other draw with a big jackpot!
Who needs a Mega Draw!
Remember the other month when an Irish family lottery syndicate in Cork won a €250 million jackpot? There was supposed to be a Mega Draw in the weeks preceding that win, but it turned out that the jackpot was already bigger than €130 million so it didn't take place.
The last time a Mega Draw jackpot was won in Ireland was back in 2019. A Mega Draw jackpot rolled over five times, reaching €175 million before being won by a single ticketholder. The Naul Family Syndicate of County Dublin claimed the prize a week or so after.
Get Involved
It's not possible to buy a lottery ticket for the Mega Draw in advance, so you'll need to wait until closer to the date before getting the tickets in. Alternatively, you could purchase a recurring/multi-draw ticket that goes up to the 26th, so the pressure isn’t on to remember
