QuickPick Winning Ticket Sold At Corrib Oil Service Station
Saturday’s winning Irish Lotto numbers were 5, 6, 14, 19, 22 and 30, plus Bonus Ball 24. The top prize winner was the only player to match all six main numbers and land the seven-figure jackpot, becoming the 93rd jackpot winner in Co Galway since the Lotto began in 1998.
The jackpot had rolled over for thirteen consecutive draws, and it hadn’t been won since Saturday 24th March when one ticket holder from Cork landed €5.6 million. Elsewhere, there were no winners in the Lotto Plus One or Lotto Plus Two draws.
It has emerged that the jackpot-winning Irish Lotto ticket was in fact a QuickPick, bought last Friday, one day before the draw, from Corrib Oil service station in Loughrea, Co Galway. It’s the first ever time the service station has sold a jackpot-winning ticket.
Pat Halligan, Corrib Oil’s store manager, said: “It’s good publicity and there’s a great buzz this morning with plenty of people in to check their tickets. We hope it’s a local though (the winner) as we have a lot of passing traffic because we’re on a main road.”
Three Winners Also Receive a €20,000 Luxury Holiday
There were 54,143 Irish Lotto winners overall on the night, including three Match 5 plus Bonus winners of €41,933 each, from Cavan, Tipperary and Louth. These three winners also receive a €20,000 luxury holiday thanks to the Lotto May Getaway promotion. The winning tickets were sold in Dunnes Stores, The Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk, Co Louth; Gully’s Daybreak, The Square, Newport, Co. Tipperary and the Post Office in Bailieborough, Co Cavan.
What Should The Winners Do Now?
All Irish Lotto players have 90 days from the date of the draw to come forward and claim their prize. The €8.5 million jackpot winner should keep their ticket in a safe and secure place before contacting lottery officials to begin the process of receiving their winnings.
