Win a €20,000 Holiday With Irish Lotto’s May Getaway
Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 09:56 am
The Irish Lotto’s May Getaway promotion has been running for less than a week and in that time it has already seen two lucky players win a luxury holiday worth €20,000, as well as cash prizes for matching five numbers plus the Bonus. May Getaway runs until the end of the month, so there will be many more winners before the promotion finishes.
Win the Holiday of a Lifetime With May Getaway
May Getaway started on Wednesday 2nd May, and there has been a winner in both Irish Lotto draws that have taken place since then. In addition to the thousands of euros that each player won, they were also awarded a holiday voucher worth up to €20,000. This meant that in the draw on Wednesday 2nd May, the total prize value for matching five plus the Bonus was nearly €200,000, compared to just €49,000 the week before (these prizes are calculated on a pari-mutuel basis, so the final monetary amounts depend on the number of tickets sold for each draw and the number of participants).
The May Getaway promotion ends on 30th May, and there is no limit to the number of holidays to be awarded. Note that the prize claim period of 90 days after the draw date still applies, so check your Lotto tickets to make sure you don’t miss out on an amazing holiday.
What Sort of Holiday Would €20,000 Buy?
€20,000 is a huge amount of money to be able to spend on a holiday and would give you the opportunity to stay at some of the most prestigious luxury accommodations around the world. It would be enough to book a 10-night stay in a Residential Suite at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for example, with enough money left over for first-class return flights for two from Dublin.
Alternatively, you could stay on the five-star boutique resort on Milhaidoo island in the Maldives. The whole island spans just 300m by 180m and is situated in the Baa Atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve, which is home to whale sharks, dolphins and manta rays, as well as a protected coral reef that circles the island. If you were to stay in one of the beautiful beach residences, you would have your own private infinity pool, a pristine beach on your doorstep, a personal chef, butler, and an outdoor cinema.
Or how about a stay at the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai? The sail-shaped building is said to be one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, and while it wouldn’t buy much time in the hotel’s Royal Suite, which costs around €12,000 per night, the €20,000 prize could secure you a week-long booking in a luxury suite with incredible panoramic views of Dubai and the Arabian Gulf.
Lotto Jackpot Rolls Over Again
In Saturday’s Irish Lotto draw, one winner walked away with €70,000 and a holiday, but there were no winners of the €7.5 million jackpot. The top prize has now rolled over for 12 consecutive draws, meaning it stands at €8 million, its highest value since August 2017. The winning numbers from the draw on Saturday 5th May were 13, 19, 30, 36, 41, and 47, with Bonus number 9.
