Two Irish Lotto players have a brought a series of rollovers to an abrupt stop after winning the €5.8 million Irish Lotto jackpot offered on Wednesday 10th June. The lucky pair, who purchased their tickets online and in Dublin, will split a top prize of €5.8 million to walk away with €2.9 million each. Previously, an anonymous syndicate picked up €5.9 million in Mullingar in the draw on Saturday 9th May.
The numbers drawn last night were 11, 16, 21, 27, 29 and 35 with Bonus Ball 43. In addition to the lucky winners, three other participants matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to snap up €25,000 each. Over 32,000 other ticket holders bagged cash amounts worth between €5 for matching three main numbers and €1,032 for matching five main numbers.
A ticket holder from Dublin matched all six main numbers drawn in Lotto Plus 2 to pick up €250,000, while more than 28,000 participants pocketed prizes in Lotto Plus 1. For a breakdown of all three games, visit the Irish Lotto Results page for the draw.
It’s been a great week for Irish lottery players - on Tuesday, a syndicate of 38 pet food factory workers in Co Longford scooped the top prize on EuroMillions Plus, taking home €13,000 each off a €16 Quick Pick ticket purchased just in time for Tuesday’s draw. No one had grabbed the fixed prize of €500,000 since Tuesday 28th April.
The Irish Lotto jackpot has now reset to €2 million for Saturday, but before that there’s an even bigger jackpot to play for on Friday. The top prize on EuroMillions has reached a whopping €129 million after both the Superdraw and last Tuesday’s draw passed without a top-tier winner. The jackpot hasn’t been this big since October 2014, when a series of rollovers eventually brought the value of the top-tier prize to its cap of €190 million.
