An extra €1 million will be added to the prize pot for the Lotto Plus Raffle on Saturday 1st October, boosting the value of prizes significantly.
In a standard Lotto Plus Raffle, you win €500 if you match the four-digit code that is randomly selected as the winner on the night of the draw. There are usually between 60 and 100 winners.
On Saturday, the extra €1 million will be split between all the winners. The prize values won’t be confirmed until the number of winners is known, but it could be that each lucky player receives around €10,000, on top of their fixed €500 payout.
The Lotto Plus Raffle is one of the three games that you can take part in alongside Lotto for an additional fee, as well as Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2.
When you combine Lotto and Lotto Plus, the overall odds of winning are 1 in 10.
Daily Million Delight
A couple from Dublin have set their sights on travelling the world and buying their own home after winning €1 million in the Daily Million draw on Thursday 22nd September.
They matched all six numbers in the 2pm draw, and have quickly come forward to claim their prize. They have opted to remain anonymous but did speak to lottery officials about their win.
“We’re absolutely overjoyed and still in complete shock! We’re a young couple and it would be a dream come true to be able to buy our own house,” they said.
“We’ve always wanted to travel the world too, so hopefully we can tick a few countries off our list. We’re beyond excited for this next chapter and all the new adventures it will bring."
The couple bought their ticket on the day of the draw from Fresh, the Good Food Market, in Northern Cross, Dublin 17.
