Last Updated: Thursday 5th May 2016, 09:51 am
The Irish Lotto jackpot rolled over for the third time in a row on Wednesday 4th May as nobody matched all six main numbers drawn, but over 23,000 players snapped up prizes. The jackpot, which was last won when a single ticket holder scooped €7.9 million on Saturday 23rd April, will now rise to €3.5 million.
The numbers drawn were 2, 28, 34, 36, 45 and 46 with Bonus Ball 9. The prizes given away ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to €1,833 for matching five main numbers. There were lots more winners in the Lotto Plus games, including one Lotto Plus 2 participant who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to bag €2,500. Check out the Irish Lottery Results page for more information about all of last night’s games, including a full Irish Lotto prize breakdown.
Irish lottery players can now turn their focus to Saturday’s draw or get involved in EuroMillions on Friday, when the jackpot will be worth an astonishing €65 million. One pub in Clonee, Dublin has even offered EuroMillions fans the chance to win a fortune without buying a ticket by launching a marketing campaign on social media.
The Paddocks’ official Twitter account sent out a tweet saying: “We did a €6 Qp for Fri EUROMILLIONS. It’s up to €65mill and if we win we share it with YOU. Just retweet & follow us.” The tweet, which was accompanied by a photo of the ticket showing the selected numbers, has so far been retweeted 28 times. If it turned out to be the sole jackpot-winning ticket, then at present everyone who has retweeted it would stand to win over €2 million.
Whether or not you want to join The Paddocks’ syndicate, you can also pick up your own ticket for either EuroMillions or Irish Lotto by playing online or visiting an authorised retailer anywhere in Ireland. There are some magnificent prizes up for grabs at the weekend and it could just be that you pick up a significant amount of cash. Best of luck!
