The Irish Lotto jackpot will be worth an estimated €5.5 million on Saturday after nobody managed to land the top prize on Wednesday 3rd June. A fantastic €4.7 million had been offer for anyone who could match all six main numbers drawn last night, and three players came close as they matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pocket €25,000 each.
The winning numbers were 3, 9, 14, 32, 33 and 36 with Bonus Ball 19. As well as the three participants in the Match 5 plus Bonus tier, another 44 ticket holders each picked up €1,101 for matching five main numbers. There were over 28,000 other winners, who snapped up prizes ranging from €5 for matching three main numbers to €120 for matching four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
There were thousands more players who won prizes in the two supplementary draws, including two entrants who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in Lotto Plus 2 to gobble up €2,500 each. There has now been a run of seven rollovers since the jackpot was last won by a ticket bought at a supermarket in Mullingar ahead of the draw on 9th May. The €5.9 million top prize was scooped by a syndicate of seven players, who this week came forward to collect their prize from lottery headquarters. The group revealed that they had been playing the Irish Lotto since 1988 and were still in shock that they had struck lucky.
The syndicate's success shows that the jackpot can be won when you least expect it, so perhaps the top prize will be picked up this weekend and it could be your turn to celebrate a seven-figure windfall.
