No one could match all six main numbers in the Irish Lotto draw on Wednesday 25th May, but more than 22,000 players did pick up prizes. Saturday’s jackpot will now hit €2.5 million as Irish Lotto fans across the country and beyond cross their fingers and hope to land a seven-figure fortune, just like the Dublin winner who yesterday picked up their €5.5 million prize from the draw on Saturday 21st May.
The Irish Lotto winning numbers were 16, 18, 27, 31, 39 and 45 with Bonus Ball 44 and the prizes pocketed ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball to €1,582 for matching five main balls. As well as Saturday’s anonymous Irish Lotto winner, a Wexford syndicate also dropped into the winners’ room at lottery HQ in Dublin to pick up a cheque for €500,000 from the EuroMillions Plus draw last Friday. The group opted to remain private, but confirmed they had discussed using some of their winnings to fund a trip to Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia in the near future.
