The top prize will now be worth a stupendous €14 million - the largest amount seen on the game in years - in the next draw on Saturday night.
The numbers drawn on Wednesday were 3, 6, 17, 23, 27 and 29 with Bonus Ball 5, producing over 93,000 prize winners. A number of players encountered technical problems as they tried to enter the Irish Lotto draw on Wednesday morning, and National Lottery officials have confirmed the issues were caused by a cyber attack. “Indications are that this morning’s technical issues were a result of a DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack affecting our communications networks,” operator Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI) said in a statement, adding that at no point was player data affected.
The Irish Lotto jackpot is now growing more quickly as participants set their sights on a glorious eight-figure amount, and Saturday’s draw promises to be a prize-giving extravaganza. You can bet online or play from authorised retailers anywhere in Ireland, and it just might be that you land the sort of cash to transform your life overnight. Best of luck!
