The run of Irish Lotto rollovers continued on Wednesday 16th December to push the jackpot up to an estimated €6.5 million for the next draw, but there were still more than 30,000 players who won prizes and one player scooped a magnificent €50,078 after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
The winning numbers were 3, 8, 27, 32, 39 and 47 with Bonus Ball 1. The other rewards given away on the night ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball up to €1,668 for matching five main numbers. There were 75 Lotto Plus Raffle ticket holders who matched the winning number of 8251 to pocket €300 each, while thousands of participants in Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 were successful in bagging payouts. There have now been nine consecutive draws since the jackpot was last won, when a syndicate of factory workers from Co Cork bought an entry which matched all six main numbers to earn a bounty of €3.8 million. There were ten members of the group, who were each able to take home over €380,000.
