Irish Lotto saw its second jackpot win in a week as one lucky ticket holder snapped up a cool €2 million in the draw on Wednesday 8th April. This newly-minted millionaire’s success followed that of a single ticket holder who won Saturday’s €10.6 million top prize after buying their entry from a petrol station in Trim, Co Meath.
Wednesday’s winning line was 2, 4, 22, 26, 30 and 36 with Bonus Ball 7 and, in addition to the jackpot being snapped up, another player matched five numbers and the Bonus Ball to scoop the fixed €25,000 award. Other prizes won on the night ranged from €5 for matching three main numbers up to €1,738 for matching five balls. There were also jackpot winners in Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2, banking €350,000 and €250,000 respectively. This week’s two big Irish Lotto winners are only the second and third players of the game to match all six main numbers in 2015. The only previous ticket to secure the jackpot this year was owned by a syndicate of two friends in Co Kildare, who won €10.2 million in the draw held on Thursday 5th February.
Saturday’s Irish Lotto jackpot will now stand at a guaranteed €2 million, which could be making its way into your bank account if you can continue this run of Lotto luck.
