Last Updated: Thursday 29th July 2021, 15:13 pm
The Irish Lotto draw on Wednesday 2nd September saw two players bank €25,000 by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. There was no jackpot winner on the night, meaning that Saturday’s first draw under the new Bigger Better Lotto rules, which were introduced today, will feature a jackpot of €5.5 million.
Wednesday’s Irish Lotto winning line was 7, 20, 22, 33, 35 and 42 with Bonus Ball 41, and the other prizes banked on the night ranged from €5 for matching three main numbers up to €2,091 for the 21 ticket holders who matched five main balls. The full prize breakdown, including results from the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 games, can be found at the Lottery Results section.
When you choose your Irish Lotto numbers from now on, you will be able to choose from 47 numbers rather than the 45 that have been on offer since November 2006. Official tickets will increase from €1.50 to €2 per line, but the prize for matching three main numbers will be boosted from €5 to an average of €9 and the €25,000 award for matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball will now rocket to around €100,000.
Other Irish Lotto changes you’ll find on Saturday include a new prize of a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball, a larger Lotto Plus 1 jackpot of €500,000 and a new Lotto Plus Raffle, offering multiple players in every draw the chance to win €300 by matching a randomly generated four-figure code.
