Last Updated: Thursday 29th July 2021, 14:08 pm
Irish lottery fans last night missed out on a chance to top off a great week for the Republic, with a sweet €8.6 million Lotto win, just days after the rugby union squad brought home the Six Nations trophy. After a tense evening spent waiting to see if England could surpass the boys in green in the tournament table on Saturday, Irish lottery fans were anticipating last night’s numbers with a similar fervour, hoping to find out that they had matched all six to be crowned the country’s latest millionaire.
There were no winners in the main game, and no one managed to match five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to snap up the €25,000 set prize, but cash amounts on the night did range from €5 for matching three main numbers up to €2,162 for matching five. There were two winners in the Match Five plus Bonus tier of Lotto Plus 1, with both banking €3,500, and another player scooped €2,500 in the same tier of Lotto Plus 2.
The winning numbers for Irish Lotto were 1, 12, 29, 34, 39 and 41 with Bonus Ball 14, and you can check out the Lottery Results section for a full prize breakdown from the main draw, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2.
There will now be a €9 million Irish Lotto jackpot to look forward to on Saturday night, when the balls are drawn again. Tickets are now on sale at official lottery retailers across Ireland.
Every ticket bought for the Irish Lottery contributes towards the €4.4 billion raised so far for Good Causes, including those in the area of sport. You never know, those tickets that you are about to buy could not only win you a life-changing amount of money, they could also help fund the next generation of Irish Six Nations champions!
