Last Updated: Thursday 29th July 2021, 14:15 pm
A single ticket scooped the Irish Lotto jackpot of €7.3 million on Saturday 19th September, bringing to an end a run of 11 rollovers since a holidaying syndicate snapped up €2.5 million in the draw on Saturday 8th August. Saturday’s winner, who bought their ticket at the Supervalu at Killiney Shopping Centre in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, became the first player to match all six main numbers since the ball pool increased from 45 to 47 on the 3rd of September.
In addition to the jackpot being won, 15 players matched five main numbers to pick up €2,948 each. Other prizes banked in the draw ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball up to €164 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball. There were also 114 winners of €300 in the Lotto Plus Raffle.
The numbers drawn were 7, 26, 34, 39, 41 and 42 with Bonus Ball 31 and you can find the full prize breakdown for Irish Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 at the Lottery Results page.
Saturday’s €7.3 million bounty is the third biggest Irish Lotto haul of the year, following a €10.2 million jackpot won in the rescheduled draw on Thursday 5th February and €10.6 million banked by a family syndicate on Saturday 4th April.
Wednesday’s draw will offer a guaranteed €2 million jackpot, which would certainly brighten up the increasingly gloomy autumn days.
