Hunt On For Dublin Winner After Lucky Shop Strikes Again

A lucky store in Dublin has sold its second big winning ticket in the space of six months after a single player scooped €250,000 in Wednesday’s Lotto Plus draw. Participants from the local area are now being urged to check to see if they might have have won, as employees of the shop eagerly wait for news.
The winning Quick Pick was bought from the Spar in Waterville, Blanchardstown on the day of the draw, just half a year after the same store sold a EuroMillions Plus ticket worth €500,000 in December 2016.
Store owner Kevin Farrelly said: “With two life-changing lottery wins in the space of a couple of months, we are certainly proving to be a lucky charm for our customers. The store is in the middle of a very busy residential area but we do have some lunchtime trade from the nearby business centres as well. Whoever the winner may be, we would ask all of our customers to check their tickets and get in touch with the National Lottery as soon as possible.”
Shop worker Jimmy Khan is convinced the winner is a local resident and says the latest success will only help business. He said: “Most of our customers would be from the surrounding area so I think the winner has to be somebody from around here. It definitely wasn't someone who works here. I don't know why we're so lucky, but hopefully this win will attract more people into the shop."
You can check out the latest winning numbers from all the recent draws in the Irish National Lottery Results section, and remember that all prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the date of the draw.
There will be more opportunities to pick up some huge sums of money this weekend, with tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot up to a fantastic €73 million and Irish Lotto’s top prize standing at €5 million ahead of tomorrow night’s draw. You can bet online or go to any authorised retailer in Ireland to put yourself in with a shot of winning. Good luck!
