Hunt for the €5.4 Million Dublin Airport Irish Lotto Winner

Hunt for the €5.4 Million Dublin Airport Irish Lotto Winner

Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 10:18 am

The Irish Lotto player who picked up a ticket for the draw on Saturday 23rd December in the arrivals hall of Dublin Airport is yet to come forward and claim their €5.4 million jackpot prize. The ticket holder made the purchase from WH Smith on the day before the draw, when an estimated 85,000 other passengers also passed through the airport at the start of the Christmas break.

Check Your Irish Lotto Tickets

If you were heading back to the capital for the holidays, or waiting to pick up friends or relatives, and you played Irish Lotto at the newsagent’s store, you are urged to dig your ticket out immediately. The day of the purchase was the busiest of the year for the terminal and a large number of travellers will have picked up entries in the hope of gaining a little festive fortune.

The winning numbers for the draw were 5, 14, 28, 29, 32 and 38 and you can find the full prize breakdown, along with the Bonus Ball and Lotto Plus results at the Irish Lotto Results page.

Claim an Irish Lotto Prize

If you are the mystery winner, you should sign the back of your ticket immediately to prove it is yours, should anything happen to it. Your next step should be to call the National Lottery on 1890 244 344 between 9:15am and 5:30pm on any weekday. They will take details from the ticket, which will confirm whether it is a winner or not, and then arrange for you to visit headquarters in Dublin to pick up your cheque.

Between the end of the phone call and your trip to the capital, you must find a safe and secure place to keep the slip, as it acts as your only proof of eligibility for the prize. Professional footballer Kevin O’Connor, who won the €1 million Christmas Millionaire Raffle jackpot on New Year’s Eve, had his girlfriend keep his lucky ticket in her handbag, clutched to her chest, whilst sitting in the stands as his team Preston North End took on Middlesbrough the day after the draw.

Be Quick

Irish Lottery players have just 90 days to claim prizes before they are returned to the organisation and used to promote its games. You can see all the current sums waiting to be united with their rightful owners on the Unclaimed Prizes page. If you still have a stack of unsorted cards, gift vouchers and other items accumulated over Christmas to work through, it may well be worth your while tackling it right now. You never know, you may just uncover a ticket worth €5.4 million.

There has been no Irish Lotto jackpot winner since that draw, meaning there is €4.5 million to play for this Saturday.
