EuroDreams Top Prize Boosted Until It Is Won

A number of changes have taken effect in the multi-national annuity lottery EuroDreams, with a Superdraw set to be held on Thursday 2nd October to mark the updates.
The Superdraw will see the jackpot boosted from its usual value of €20,000 a month for 30 years to €30,000 a month for 30 years. That’s an increase of 50 percent, so the total amount paid out to a winner will be €10.8 million rather than €7.2 million.
If the jackpot isn’t won at the first attempt on Thursday, it will remain at €30,000 per month for 30 years until there is at least one winner in a draw. In the unlikely event that more than three players match all the numbers, the winners will share €32.4 million.
There are expected to be two or three Superdraws per year, giving you the opportunity to win a greater prize than usual on a regular basis.
What Else is Changing?
Apart from the enhanced jackpot, the other big change is that the prize for matching five of the six main numbers will increase significantly.
Previously, only around 2 percent of the total prize fund has been allocated to this third prize category - that will now go up to more than 10 percent.
The prize amounts will still vary from draw to draw, but you can now expect to receive around five times as much if you win in this tier - potentially rewarding you with around €500 instead of €100. The prize fund percentages for tiers four and five have therefore been adjusted downwards.
EuroDreams History
EuroDreams was launched in November 2023, becoming Ireland’s first annuity lottery - where the top prize is spread out over many years rather than paid out as a one-time lump sum.
It is also played in seven other countries apart from Ireland - France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg - and has created lots of big winners over the past two years.
Ireland recently celebrated its first jackpot win, worth €20,000 a month for 30 years, and the next winner can look forward to receiving even more. Keep up to date with the latest results as soon as draws take place every Monday and Thursday night.
