Donegal and Westmeath Players Share €12 Million Lotto Jackpot

In Saturday night’s Irish Lotto draw, two players won the highest jackpot in 2023.
The lucky players can look forward to becoming instant multimillionaires. It’s been confirmed that both of them got in touch with the Irish Lottery and they’ll soon be able to collect their prizes.
The Lotto jackpot is worth €12,747,756 and will be split into two, with each winner taking home €6,373,878.
Which winning stores sold the lucky tickets? One of them was sold at Tuthills Newsagents in the Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone, while the other at McCarron’s Village Shop in Quigley’s Point on the eastern shores of Inishowen, Co. Donegal.
The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw were 2, 3, 21, 43, 44, 46 and Bonus 7. But the two jackpot winners weren’t the only lucky ones. Two other players from Dublin and Carlow won a €61,202 prize each after matching five numbers and the Bonus. While the Dublin-based winner purchased the winning ticket in Supervalu, Balally Shopping Centre, Dublin 16, the second winning ticket was bought at Circle K, Junction 5 in Rathcrogue, Co Carlow.

The largest Lotto jackpot ever won was over a year ago on Saturday, 15th January 2022 when one lucky player from Castlebar won €19 million. The prize was claimed by a family syndicate who decided to use the money for a good cause and help those from their community. Since then, the jackpot cap has been set at €19.06 million.
