Two Quick Picks Share €4.6 Million Irish Lotto Jackpot

Saturday’s Irish Lotto jackpot of €4.6 million was shared by two players, both of whom bought Quick Pick tickets for the draw on 10th September. One lucky winner of €2.3 million purchased their lines at a Topaz Service Station in Athlone, Co Westmeath, with the other participant buying their ticket at a Dunnes Stores near Dublin Castle in the capital.
The two brand new millionaires matched the winning Irish Lotto numbers of 5, 6, 14, 24, 26 and 29 to split the tasty sum, which was the result of five rollovers since a Co Leitrim player won €11.1 million on Saturday 20th August. Other prizes received this weekend ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball (which was 20) and €1,203 for matching five main numbers.
There was cause for celebration in Lotto Plus 1 as well, where a Dublin ticket holder matched all six main numbers to win the €500,000 top prize. Take a look at the Lottery Results page to find the full prize breakdown for Irish Lotto and the results and prize information from Lotto Plus 1, Lotto Plus 2 as well as the Lotto Plus Raffle.
It could be a busy few days at Irish National Lottery headquarters in Dublin this week, with the possibility of Saturday’s three big winners turning up to pick up their cheques and the hope that the Leitrim winner from last month might finally end weeks of speculation and reveal their identity. No claim has been made on that jackpot yet, but Noel McGowan, who runs the Spar shop in Kinlough at which the ticket was bought, told the press last week that the village rumour mill had already thrown up around a hundred potential names.
