A run of four Irish Lotto rollovers came to an end on Saturday 14th November as one player matched all six main numbers to scoop €3.8 million. The winning ticket was bought at a shop managed by the captain of Limerick’s hurling team, Donal O’Grady, who admitted the result was a great boost for the local community.
The winning line was 12, 16, 22, 36, 40 and 43 with Bonus Ball 4. O’Grady’s Spar and Topaz store in Ballingarry has already had a lot of customers come back in since news of the jackpot winner broke, but it is not yet clear whether the lucky ticket holder was local or someone passing through. O’Grady told the press: “Ireland is a small country but Ballingarry is a small dot on that. It’s great for the locality and it’s great for rural Ireland.”
As well as the jackpot winner, there was another Irish Lotto participant who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to land €63,476. The remaining prizes won ranged between a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball and €2,719 for matching five main numbers.
Check out the Irish Lotto Results section for a full prize breakdown, as well as information about the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws. There were also 102 winners of the Lotto Plus Raffle, who all matched the number 1032 to instantly become €300 richer.
The next Irish Lotto jackpot will be worth €2 million on Wednesday night, but before then there is a chance to snap up a gargantuan €144 million in Tuesday evening’s EuroMillions draw.
