Irish Lotto Jackpot Won for Third Time in Six Draws

Irish Lotto Jackpot Won for Third Time in Six Draws

Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 12:48 pm

The Irish Lotto jackpot has been won for the third time in the space of just six draws after a ticket holder from Dublin landed Wednesday night’s £2.3 million prize. The lucky player, who is yet to make themselves known to National Lottery officials, now has 90 days to collect their windfall.

The winning numbers in Wednesday's draw were 7, 19, 20, 32, 34 and 43, with 45 appearing as the Bonus Ball. In terms of jackpot wins, this is now the most successful spell for the game this year, narrowly pipping a run of three wins in eight draws which occurred between Saturday 6th May and Wednesday 31st May. This latest victory is also the eighth top prize win of the year, a figure that is now just three adrift of equalling the total number of winners in 2016.

The draw proved to be profitable for another player who scooped €45,119 after matching five main numbers and the Bonus, while 12 tickets stand to collect €2,255 for correctly matching five main numbers.

There were a further 23,784 prize winners, each of whom won a reward ranging from a €3 scratch card for matching two main numbers and the Bonus to €252 for predicting four main numbers and the Bonus. For extra draw information and a complete prize breakdown, head to the Irish Lotto Results page.

The jackpot joy wasn’t just confined to the main Irish Lotto draw. Another player from Dublin was given plenty of reasons to celebrate after landing the Lotto Plus 1 top prize of €500,000. This is the first time that the highest supplementary sum has been won since Saturday 2nd September.
