Christmas Millionaire Raffle Returns for 2026
Last Updated: Monday 2nd November 2026, 10:42 am
Tickets have gone on sale for the annual Millionaire Raffle - which offers 8,500 chances to win, great odds and a guaranteed millionaire!
As always, the draw will take place on New Year’s Eve. Ticket sales officially close at 10:00 pm on Thursday 31st December, but in reality the tickets could sell out long before that cut-off time. There are only 600,000 tickets available, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
You can play online or at retail locations in Ireland. Tickets cost €25 each and are numbered 000001 to 600000. You don’t need to choose your numbers - they are generated automatically at the point of purchase.
Once you have your tickets, simply wait for the draw and find out if you are a winner. If your raffle number gets drawn, you win the corresponding prize. This could be €500, €1,000, €5,000, €10,000, €100,000 or €1 million. Go to the Millionaire Raffle page to see the number of prizes for each value.
Previous Millionaire Raffles
The Millionaire Raffle has been a Christmas tradition for more than a decade. It initially launched in 2009, but in the early years it sometimes took place at Easter or in the summertime. Since 2015, it has only been scheduled for New Year’s Eve.
News of the €1 million winner is always eagerly awaited, and it has produced some memorable headlines over the years, from the Cork ticket that went unclaimed in 2016 to the professional footballer who won in 2017.
A player from County Cavan became a millionaire in last year’s raffle, making contact with the claims team a few weeks later.
If you’re keen to get involved in this year’s raffle, make sure to pick up a ticket soon before they run out. There will also be a host of other existing lotteries to enjoy over the festive period, so it may just be that you win a fantastic prize in time for the start of 2027.
