Christmas Millionaire Raffle 2019 To Give Out Guaranteed €1 Million Top Prize
Last Updated: Tuesday 7th July 2020, 17:19 pm
The Christmas Millionaire Raffle will be back on 31st December 2019, putting up a vast collection of prizes worth €4.615 million. In total there will be 6,009 lucky winners, with one player guaranteed to pocket €1 million.
What’s New About the 2019 Raffle?
The Millionaire Raffle has become a popular festive tradition over the years in Ireland and the 2019 game will follow a similar format to previous years. However, there are 441 more prizes up for grabs this year than there were in 2018, making it even more likely that you will win if you take part.
As well as the €1 million jackpot, the prizes this year include three awards of €100,000 and 10 prizes of €10,000, while the lowest payout is still a substantial €500. Go to the Christmas Millionaire Raffle page for a full list of all the prizes that can be won in 2019.
Tickets cost €25 each and are on sale now. You can take part online or by going to an authorised lottery retailer anywhere in Ireland. It may be a good idea not to wait too long, as there are only 500,000 tickets available. With such limited availability, there is a good chance they will sell out before the official cut-off time for entries at 10pm on Tuesday 31st December.
You receive a unique code on your ticket when you play and you win if this code matches up exactly - with all the numbers in the same order - with one of the 6,009 winning codes drawn on the night. All the prizes are guaranteed to be won, because only raffle numbers that have been purchased are entered into the final draw.
Don’t Forget To Check Results
Winners can then look forward to starting the new year in style with up to €1 million in their bank balance, but it is essential to check the results quickly so that you don’t miss out on any prizes. The big winner from 2016 failed to come forward before the 90-day claims deadline so did not become a millionaire.
The following year, the €1 million went to professional football Kevin O’Connor - who plays for Preston North End in the English Championship. He had been bought a ticket by his godfather and had to jet back to Dublin to collect his seven-figure fortune.
The winner of last year’s top prize was a ticket holder from Wexford, who bought their ticket from Kavanagh’s Village Forecourt in Clonroche and quickly got in touch with lottery officials to claim their prize anonymously.
It has already been a spectacular year for Irish lottery players in 2019, with a record EuroMillions jackpot of €175 million won by a Dublin family syndicate back in February and a host of other big wins. The Millionaire Raffle is sure to provide a fitting end, so why not get involved for the chance to land a great prize?
