Big Jackpot Lands
The night belonged to the jackpot winner, though, and after a run of seven rollovers it was perhaps fitting that the top prize came back down to earth thanks to a player at Dublin Airport. Lottery officials announced that the ticket was bought at a newsagents in the arrivals area of terminal one.
Whether the winner was coming home for Christmas, a tourist or just someone greeting a traveller remains to be seen. The lucky player has 90 days to come forward and claim their prize, and can decide whether to stay anonymous or go public with their news.
