The winning numbers last night were 5, 14, 28, 29, 32 and 38, with Bonus Ball 31, and there were over 42,000 prizes given away in total on a special night for players across Ireland. Apart from the jackpot winner, the other awards ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to €1,537 for matching five main numbers.

The Irish Lotto Plus 1 and Irish Lotto Plus 2 games create thousands of winners in each draw, while the Lotto Plus Raffle code guarantees €300 to anyone who can match the winning code.
Big Jackpot Lands
The night belonged to the jackpot winner, though, and after a run of seven rollovers it was perhaps fitting that the top prize came back down to earth thanks to a player at Dublin Airport. Lottery officials announced that the ticket was bought at a newsagents in the arrivals area of terminal one.
Whether the winner was coming home for Christmas, a tourist or just someone greeting a traveller remains to be seen. The lucky player has 90 days to come forward and claim their prize, and can decide whether to stay anonymous or go public with their news.
As lottery fans and officials wait for more news of the winner, you can try to emulate their success by taking part in the next game on Wednesday. The top prize is worth €2 million and you can choose numbers online or go to any authorised retailer in Ireland. Good luck!
