Irish Lotto Plus 2
Irish Lotto Plus 2 is one of two additional games which can be played alongside the main Irish Lotto game and offers a range of cash prizes. The game was launched in 2002 with a fixed jackpot of €200,000, which increased to €250,000 in November 2006.
In the game, six main numbers from 1 to 47 are selected and an additional Bonus Ball is drawn from the remaining 41 numbers. To win the top prize, players are required to match all six main numbers but, in common with Lotto Plus 1, the top prize will not roll over to the following draw if there are no winners in that tier.
How to Play Lotto Plus 2
When purchasing tickets for the main Lotto draw, a single additional fee of €1 per line will buy players an entry in both the Lotto Plus 2 and Lotto Plus 1 games. Players select six numbers from a range of 1 to 47 for the main Irish Lotto draw and then mark the Lotto Plus option on their tickets to have those same numbers entered into the Lotto Plus games.
Two different sets of numbers are drawn for both Lotto Plus draws, meaning that players have three chances of winning prizes from the same set of Lotto numbers chosen. It is possible to win prizes in all three draws from the same set of Lotto numbers, so players are advised to check their tickets carefully.
