Top EuroMillions Plus Win for Dublin Woman

A Dublin woman has claimed a EuroMillions Plus jackpot after matching all five numbers in last Tuesday evening’s draw. The winning QuickPick ticket, which was purchased at the Spar store in Woodstown Village, Knocklyon, successfully matched the numbers of 3, 23, 24, 32 and 46 to net the delighted Dubliner €500,000.
The lucky lady, who has chosen to remain anonymous, discovered that she was half a million Euro richer after checking her numbers during the half-time interval of Ireland’s crucial Group E game with Italy on Wednesday evening. By the end of the night, it wasn’t just Robbie Brady and his team mates celebrating a spectacular victory. This latest win, the first since Friday 3rd June, takes the number of EuroMillions Plus jackpot winners up to 11 since the turn of the year.
Unfortunately, following a gutsy defeat to Euro 2016 hosts France in the Round of 16, Ireland were eliminated and left with a bitter taste of disappointment, but that surely won’t dampen the spirits of this jackpot-winning Dubliner. Speaking to Lottery officials after collecting her prize, the woman spoke of her joy at scooping such a big windfall: “It’s an amazing feeling. You wake up one morning and you can afford to see the world a little differently. Having the comfort of half a million Euro in the bank is just wonderful.”
