There have been a host of lucky winners coming through the doors of lottery headquarters in Dublin over the last few weeks, with the latest visitors led by Nicholas Walsh of Grannagh in Co Kilkenny. Nicholas brought along members of his family and Dick Rellis, who sold him the ticket that won the €500,000 Lotto Plus 1 jackpot on Wednesday 11th May.
When asked how he had decided on his winning line, Nicholas laughed, "my lucky numbers have always been the birthday dates of every family member which means they will all probably expect a big hand-out!" He also confirmed he would use some of his big win to buy a new car and replace his kitchen, as well as splashing out on his four children and two grandchildren.
Wednesday’s Irish Lotto jackpot is worth €3 million and you can stake your claim for the cash by snapping up entries to the draw right now.
