EuroMillions Plus Jackpot Won in County Offaly

EuroMillions Plus Jackpot Won in County Offaly

Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 09:27 am

There has been cause for celebration in the Irish town of Tullamore, situated in the heart of County Offaly, after a store sold a EuroMillions Plus jackpot-winning ticket worth €500,000. It is the fourth time the jackpot has been won this year, and the winner has now been urged to come forward and claim their six-figure windfall sooner rather than later.

Winning Ticket Bought From Dunnes Shopping Centre

The winning numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Tuesday 12th February were 2, 18, 32, 36 and 46, and the lucky ticket holder was the only one to match all five numbers to win the jackpot, overcoming odds of 1 in 2.1 million. There were 69 Match 4 winners, who received €2,000 each, and 3,161 players who took home €20 after matching three numbers.

The winning ticket was bought from the Newsround shop located in the Dunnes Shopping Centre in Tullamore. Ian Kelly, owner of the Newsround store, said: “There is some great excitement in Tullamore this morning and the staff at the shop have been spreading the good news to our customers, encouraging them all to check their tickets. I’m delighted that we sold this winning EuroMillions prize to one of our customers and hope it brings a lot of happiness to them. Best of luck to whoever it is.”

Irish Winners in EuroMillions

Elsewhere, two Irish players came agonisingly close to winning the mammoth €151 million jackpot in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw. The winning numbers were 6, 34, 36, 41, 50 and Lucky Stars 1 and 5. The Irish ticket holders both matched all five numbers and one Lucky Star to receive €293,221 each, and were just one number away from scooping one of the biggest payouts in the lottery’s 15-year history. Their tickets were bought from Dunnes Stores in Cornelscourt Shopping Centre, Foxrock, Dublin, and O’Riordan’s Filling Station, Lower Bluepool in Kanturk, County Cork.

A National Lottery spokesperson has urged the trio of recent big EuroMillions winners to come forward, explaining: “If you are one of these three lucky ticket holders, be sure to keep the ticket safe, sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to come to the National Lottery to get your prize."

The EuroMillions jackpot rolled over last night, however, meaning players throughout Ireland and beyond can look forward to this Friday’s draw for an estimated €165 million. The jackpot has reached this amount following a €120 million Superdraw on 1st February, and hasn’t been won since.
