Additional €1 Million Prize for One EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle Winner

Additional €1 Million Prize for One EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle Winner

Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 09:41 am

Excitement is growing across Ireland after it was announced that one of the lucky winners in the upcoming EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle will receive an additional €1 million. The special draw will be a memorable day for one of the winners on Friday 6th July.

How Does It Work?

Players from Ireland who have a ticket for the main EuroMillions draw are entered into the supplementary Ireland Only Raffle at no extra cost. The additional draw is exclusive to players from the Emerald Isle, and players receive a unique raffle code on their ticket for each line purchased for the main draw. The code is made up of four randomly selected letters and five numbers.

Ten winning codes are drawn alongside each EuroMillions draw, and each code is worth a guaranteed €5,000. This Friday, one lucky player will also take home an additional €1 million in the special draw. Ten Ireland Only Raffle codes will be drawn as usual, and each winning code will be entered into a further draw to win the €1 million prize.

You cannot enter the Ireland Only Raffle without entering the main EuroMillions draw. All winners have 90 days to come forward and claim their prize.

Previous Special Draws

Special draws only take place at certain points of the year, and the most recent winner was a player from Waterford who matched the winning code I-DTG-57033 in the draw on 1st June. A pensioner from Dublin was also celebrating after a one-off draw on 16th March, held to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The winner, who decided to remain anonymous, said he planned to use his winnings to spend half the year in the Caribbean sunshine.

Prior to those draws, there were four special draws held last year, in February, May, October and November, with two winning codes purchased from Co. Leitrim and one apiece for Co. Kildare and Waterford.
