Irish Lottery Results for Saturday 8th August 2015

Last Updated: Thursday 29th July 2021, 15:14 pm

A single ticket, which was bought at the SuperValu store at Rosslare Harbour, Co Wexford, scooped Saturday night’s €2.5 million Irish Lotto jackpot. The top prize had rolled over once since carpenter Gerry Murphy of Ballinrobe, Co Mayo pocketed €6.3 million in the draw on Saturday 1st August.

The winning numbers from the latest draw were 9, 26, 33, 37, 40 and 44 with Bonus Ball 42 and other prizes banked on the night ranged from €5 for the 24,091 players who matched three main numbers up to €25,000 for one ticket holder who matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. There is a full prize breakdown from the main draw as well as Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 at the Lottery Results section.

The identity of the winner remains a mystery, but there is a chance they could be a holidaymaker who bought their tickets after arriving into the port on a ferry from Fishguard, Pembroke, Cherbourg or Roscoff. It may even have been an Irish citizen who wanted to ensure they didn’t miss out on their Irish Lotto fix before they headed off to the UK or France. If you played a few lines this weekend, make sure you use the Irish Lotto Checker to see if you are the latest millionaire to be created by this exciting game.

Wednesday’s jackpot will be worth €2 million and entries are on sale online and at authorised retailers across the country. Good luck!
