Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 29th April 2015

Last Updated: Tuesday 27th September 2022, 15:42 pm

Irish Lotto fans missed out on the €4.2 million jackpot on Wednesday 29th April but there were still over 27,000 winners of cash prizes, and someone did scoop the top prize in the Lotto Plus 1 game. There have now been six rollovers in a row on the Irish Lotto since a single ticket holder pocketed €2 million on 8th April.

The winning numbers last night were 3, 9, 14, 18, 35 and 38 with Bonus Ball 40. Nobody managed to grab the top prize or match five numbers and the Bonus Ball, but 27 participants were able to match five main numbers to earn €1,755 each. Other prizes ranged from €5 for matching three main numbers to €175 for matching four numbers plus the Bonus Ball.

The Lotto Plus 1 draw produced the biggest winner of the evening as one ticket holder matched the winning numbers drawn to land €350,000. Another player snapped up €3,500 for matching five numbers plus the Bonus Ball. There wasn’t a winner in the Lotto Plus 2 draw, but there were over 48,000 players who earned money across the two supplementary games. It has still been quite a week for Irish lottery players, after one participant won the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 in the draw on Tuesday 28th April. Another woman has come forward this week to tell her story of remarkable good fortune, having found a ticket worth €500,000 in her cupboard.

The lucky lady from Cork, who wishes to remain anonymous, explained after she collected her money from Lotto headquarters that she had almost bought an ice cream instead of the ticket.

“It was a warm day and I fancied a cone,” she said in the Irish Examiner. “But it was too early in the year to get one so I bought a Euromillions ticket instead. I found the ticket in my press last week and brought it with me to check when I was doing the shopping. When I scanned the ticket it said to contact the National Lottery so I wasn’t sure what I’d won. I couldn’t believe it when I was told it was half a million.”

It shows that a big win on the lottery can happen when you least expect it, and Irish Lotto fans can now look forward to the chance to win €5 million in Saturday night’s draw. To put yourself in with a chance, just follow the woman from Cork’s lead and visit an authorised retailer in Ireland, or bet online to ensure there is no no chance of losing your ticket. Good luck!
