100 More Chances To Become a Millionaire on 22nd November
Last Updated: Monday 21st October 2024, 12:55 pm
The EuroMillions draw on 22nd November will see 100 lucky players become millionaires. Find out more about how it works and how many of the winners might come from Ireland.
EuroMillionaires Raffle Draw
This type of special promotion, sometimes known as a EuroMillionaires Raffle Draw, only happens around once a year. It is played across Europe, so the nine participating countries agree when to offer up multiple prizes of €1 million. In the first couple of draws there were 25 winners each time, but now there are 100.
Everyone who buys a ticket is automatically entered into the draw at no extra cost, receiving a raffle code for each line of numbers played.
If this sounds familiar, it is exactly the same set-up as for the Ireland Only Raffle. In fact, you won’t even be given another code for the draw on 22nd November so there will be nothing extra to check.
The 100 winning codes will be drawn from all the entries submitted across Europe. Match any of them exactly and you’ll instantly be worth €1 million. All you would need to do then is stake your claim within 90 days of the draw date.
How Many Winners Will Be Irish?
The winning codes are selected at random so they could be distributed evenly or some countries could be luckier than others. It’s easy to spot the Irish winners, as the codes start with a different letter in each nation and in Ireland they always begin with an ‘I’.
When the last EuroMillionaires Raffle Draw took place in February 2023, three Irish players won €1 million. There were also three Irish millionaires out of 100 in the previous raffle in January 2022.
The important point to remember is that every ticket has an identical chance of winning €1 million. You can also win €5,000 in the Ireland Only Raffle - 10 players win that much in every draw - while the main EuroMillions draw puts up huge jackpots and has several other ways to win.
EuroMillions Plus is also available for an extra €1 per play, with a top prize of €500,000 for matching five numbers out of five. You can check EuroMillions, EuroMillions Plus and the raffle results with our checking tool, to help you make sure you don’t miss out on any prizes. Keep up with the draws every Tuesday and Friday night.
